KTM revealed their latest innovations on the first day of the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy this week unveiling two brand new models coming to North America for 2020 - the KTM 1290 Super Duke R the KTM 390 Adventure.

Additionally, KTM announced the new KTM 890 Duke and its availability to North America in the Fall of 2020 as a model year 2021. These exciting new models were accompanied by KTM's full range of 2020 street motorcycles. The Austrian manufacturer's outstanding achievements in the world of racing were also prominently displayed with the KTM 450 Rally, the KTM 450 SX-F and the KTM RC16 (MotoGP™).

KTM 1290 Super Duke R

KTM "re-beasted" the 1290 Super Duke R, the company's flagship bike which won rave reviews by catering to the preferences and skills of a vast range of motorcyclists and has undergone its most radical re-invention yet for 2020. A completely new chassis, styling, and electronics mean the KTM 1290 Super Duke R trimmed weight across the board, while a reworked LC8 engine unleashes even more power.

KTM 390 Adventure

The new KTM 390 Adventure harnessed attributes and DNA from the incredibly capable and highly versatile KTM 790 Adventure as well as the R&D information gathered from nearly two decades of Dakar Rally success. A light, agile, and ideal entry model for riders looking to discover the world through adventure riding, this motorcycle offers added versatility for touring and light off-roading. Using elements of the KTM 390 Duke as a base and taking performance cues found at the heart of the KTM 450 Rally, the KTM 390 Adventure offers off-road performance but with impressive road manners as part of the package.

KTM 790 Adventure R Rally

And finally, KTM also announced that the KTM 790 Adventure R Rally will come to North America for 2020 but restricted to just 500 units worldwide. It is the third and newest member of the KTM 790 Adventure family and is positioned as the most travel capable rally bike. For those riders who demand the most hardcore performance and the very best suspension equipment available, this is the machine that will easily cross continents in order to ride to the start line of a rally.

Based heavily on the KTM 790 Adventure R, the exclusive Rally model retains the same steel trellis chassis, the potent and compact LC8c parallel twin engine and the class-leading electronic rider aids. The major component difference is the addition of the special WP XPLOR PRO suspension. Developed in the same department as WP's Factory Racing equipment, it offers superior performance for extreme riding. An additional 30 mm of suspension travel front and back helps clear the most awkward obstacles and brings the seat height to 35.8 in (910 mm).

KTM looks to 2020 with great optimism. The surge of almost 10 years of expansion shows no signs of slowing as the company evolves their R&D activities and output for both Street and off-road markets, fueled by their tremendous racing endeavors. They will look to further consolidate their position as Europe's #1 manufacturer while also exploring other areas of global growth.
