Howdy y'all and welcome back to MotoSport.com Gear Head weekly observations! The championship wrapping up, sand section grenading, Gear Head Ryan Roberts back at it with all the takes from Round 15 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!

Well after watching that race this weekend, the fat lady is warming up in the corner, she isn't singing yet but after seeing Cooper Webb's reaction after the race, even he knows it is all but done. Coop letting Jason Anderson pass him on the last turn to lose 2 additional points was, most likely, the nail in the coffin. Jett was easily dominant and never really had much of a challenge from anyone in the race. Coop tried to keep up at the beginning of the race, but he never really had anything for Jett. With the last two tracks probably leaning towards Jett's skill set, it will take an Eli Tomac achilleas tear type moment to give take the championship away from Jett. Jett has had some adversity this year and the way he has been mature about not trying to overcompensate for the down turns and that level of maturity should send shivers down the spines of every other team, because Jett is 20 years old, he is only going to get better at this for a long time.

The 250 race was absolutely insane. I really like Jalek Swoll and want him and Triumph to succeed and be competitive in this class, but what are you doing Jalek. I know he thought he had the pass made but the risk he took was massive at that moment and could have easily made the pass somewhere else on the track. He was faster than Seth Hammaker at that point and could have passed him later and had a second place instead of taking himself and Seth out and ruining bother their nights. Poor Pierce Brown had a heck of a ride when he cross rutted on the face of the finish line and luckily while flying through the landed on the downside of the side of the jump and was able to walk away. The East championship seems like a for gone conclusion also with Tom Vialle winning that championship. It will be interesting to see if Haden Deegan does something edgy and tries to get aggressive with Tom or if he races straight forward and takes his second place.

We only have two more rounds to go in this season and it has flown by. Looking back on this season will show it has been one of the best ever, but it has had a lot of outside influence with weather issues and track changes. It will be interesting to look back on this season in ten years and see how history looks back at it.
