Supercross returned to Salt Lake City for the first time since 2013 and did not disappoint. Two-time defending Champion Ryan Dungey led Round 15 for 18 laps trying to grab his third win of the season and first since Round 8 before Eli Tomac caught him, grabbed the lead and led the final nine laps. It was Tomac's ninth win of the season and seventh in the last nine rounds. The victory gives Tomac sole possession of the Red Plate, breaking a tie with Dungey, and a three point advantage with two rounds remaining in the season.

Justin Hill wrapped up the 250SX West class Championship with a third-place result by less than a tire over Martin Davalos. Hill entered Salt Lake City with an 18 point edge over Aaron Plessinger but it looked like the title fight would head to Las Vegas as Plessinger, fresh off his first season win two weeks ago in Seattle grabbed the early lead and led for seven laps. But Plessinger crashed in the whoops and left the race which opened the door for Hill to take the Championship home.

Seconds before crossing the finish line Hill passed Davalos securing third-place and the necessary points to clinch the 2017 250SX West Championship. Shane McElrath took his third win of the season and Mitchell Oldenburg improved on his third-place finish in Seattle with a career-best second-place. Check out all the action below.
