Marvin Musquin dominated both Motos on Saturday for Round 8 of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series at Spring Creek for his first career sweep in the 450 class. The win injects some life into Musquin's title aspirations moving him into third in the Championship standings but he remains 60 points from first.

Despite seeing his win streak end and finishing third overall, leader Eli Tomac (2-5) added a point to his lead over Blake Baggett (6-2) who took fourth overall and now sits 20 points from Tomac and 40 ahead of Musquin. Dean Wilson finished a 450 career best second overall with (3-3) scores for his second straight podium moving him into fourth-place in the standings.

Jason Anderson sat out for the second straight round after trying to ride with injuries suffered in a practice crash a few weeks ago. He's dropped from third and in Championship contention just a few weeks ago to fifth-place and now 113 points from the lead.

In the 250 class, Joey Savatgy (1-2) grabbed his second overall of the season dominating Moto 1 and settling for second in Moto 2 behind points leader Zach Osborne (8-1) who finished third overall. Alex Martin (2-4) took second overall for his best showing on his home track while his brother Jeremy Martin (4-5) settled on fourth overall.
