Cole Thompson continued his winning ways on Saturday in the first round of the Motosport-sponsored AX Tour at the George H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center in Lufkin, TX. It's the first time the tour has stopped in Texas.

Thompson #16 bested Heath Harrison in the "Clash for Cash" event after passing him in the last turn. Brad Nauditt took third. Thompson also took the win in the Pro Main event in front of Maxx Malatia and third-place Harrison. Nauditt took the win in the AX Lites Pro class beating Brandon Golenn and Malatia.

In the AX Pro Class Main event Thompson took the lead early but faced serious competition from Malatia. Thompson enters the 2013 AX Tour holding the #1 plate for the AX Tour series after winning most of the "Clash for Cash" races last season.
