Want to get your bike set up like Derek's? Check out what he's running:

Controls:

Derek's handlebar and clutch set up is taken care of by Pro Taper. They also are in charge of one of the more critical parts of the bike, being the chain and sprockets. Check out what Pro Taper has to offer for your bike here.

Suspension:

It's no surprise that the fastest guys to hit the track cannot rely on stock suspension. What seems to be overlooked is the advantage anyone can get from a bike that has been properly set up. From trail riding, to qualifying for a national- this is hands down the most important aspect of performance, handling and ride quality. Derek sticks with Race Tech because they are proven and offer some of the best products available with one of the strongest support teams. Check out Race Tech components (like their gold valve kits) here.

Clutch

Rekluse isn't necessarily a household name in the motocross world, but that seems to be changing quickly. Well known to trail riders and offroad enthusiasts, Rekluse has recently stepped up their commitment to Supercross and Motocross to prove that their clutches are the real deal. Many riders are seeing the advantage to their setup as they continue to take over the market with superior quality engineered products. Rekluse Clutches

Exhaust

Being a privateer, Derek can't count on a trailer full of spare parts if something were to break. The products he bolts on to his bike are purpose built and offer not only an edge in performance- but with durability in mind. This holds true with what he chooses to run for exhaust systems. Without having the luxury of a fast race motor, he must find horsepower gains where he can without giving up something that will last. FMF Exhaust is a perfect fit with what they offer for his bike- Giving him tons of options without the chance of a DNF.
