No repeat winners yet in two rounds of the 2015 AMSOIL Arenacross season consisting of five races and three overalls along with a shake-up in the points standings including a leader without a win. With four Motos scheduled for Round 3, two on Friday and Saturday in Colorado Springs, CO, anyone can take over in points or drop out of the Top 10.

Matt Goerke doesn't have a Main event win but four podiums give him a nice lead in the point standings with 84. A member of Team Babbitt, Goerke has a 16 point lead over his teammate Jacob Hayes who has two wins including an overall last weekend, but landing out of the Top 10 on night two reduced his point total. Chris Blose and Zach Ames, also on Team Babbitt and the 1-2 leaders going into Round 2 were unable to compete in Grand Rapids, dropping Blose to eighth and Ames out of the Top 10 in 14th.

Gared Steinke

Gared Steinke got into the Top 10 for points after a fifth-place overall performance in Michigan for night two on Saturday riding (4-6) for the night. This proved to be a great rebound from Friday's performance of 14th overall.

"The key is consistency," said MotoSport.com/Lauerman MX team manager Kirk Lauerman. "He has been upfront every Moto but only has three Top 10 finishes. That will change. We are chasing points and avoiding the chaos that is going on by everyone else."

The surprise victor for Round 2, Gavin Faith, went (1-2) for the overall but is still out of the Top 10 in points. Steven Mages jumped to third-place in points (tied with Travis Sewell) from ninth-place after Round 1 thanks to a Main event win and second-place overall on Saturday. Adding to this weekend's excitement is the expected return of Blose, however, Ames remains undetermined.

Daniel Blair

Colorado Springs represents Round 1 of the Western Regional Lites class and MotoSport rider Daniel Blair is ready after two Top 10 performances including a third-place showing in Round 2 while racing in the Eastern Lites class. Riders can only compete for points in one class or the other but can race in both so this weekend counts for Blair.

"For Daniel, it's all starts," Lauerman said. "He's won two heat races, both when he pulled the holeshot. In the Mains, his starts have been horrible which he's been working on during the week."

Lauerman said he expects a great weekend for the team with both riders now in competition and a podium in the Arenacross class and a Lites win is not out of the question.

Arenacross Round 3 starts at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at The Broadmoor World Arena. Buy tickets online or at the box office, 3185 Venetucci Blvd. in Colorado Springs, CO.
