Travis Sewell leads the AX Pro Lites and AX Pro classes while Heath Harrison took the checkered flag in the coveted "Clash for Cash" event for Round 1 of the 2014-15 MotoSport.com AX Tour held on Saturday in Cookeville, TN.

Sewell, a veteran to the AX Tour, battled off Luke VonLinger in the AX Pro Lites class and again in the AX Pro class to take first and the early points lead in both events. But it was Heath Harrison, also a familiar face in the AX Tour, taking first in the Cash for Clash race.

Sewell and VonLinger made up the Top 3 early in the Cash for Clash race behind Josh Osby but Harrison managed to work his way through the pack and take the 20-lap race. Harrison took sixth in the AX Pro class to qualify for the Clash for Cash event. Osby, who took fifth in the AX Pro events, finished in second for Clash for Cash. Sewell took third to cap off his successful night. Josh Cartwright rounded out the Top 3 in the AX Pro Lites and AX Pro races but finished ninth in the Clash.

The Clash for Cash event brings the Top 10 riders from the AX Pro and AX Lites races to compete head-to-head in a 20-lap main event. Riders earn points in each class as well as the Clash for Cash, which offers the highest payout of all the races. The new AX Tour season is capitalizing on last year's record breaking turn-out as more than 30 riders entered for both the AX Pro and AX Pro Lites classes. Additionally, more than $175,000 in cash and contingencies is up for grabs this year.

Round 2 of the 2015 MotoSport.com AX Tour starts at 7 p.m. November 22 at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. Cost is $15 at the door or $12 advance purchase.
