Marvin Musquin rebounded from an epic Moto 1 battle with Eli Tomac where he lost the lead just prior to the final lap and then crashed to take the win in Moto 2 holding off an aggressive Tomac, who crashed twice losing the lead, which allowed Musquin to grab his first overall of the season on Saturday for Round 6 of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series in Southwick, MA.

The victory ends Tomac's bid to finish the season undefeated in overall wins but does nothing to close the 450 class points gap as the two tied with Musquin claiming the overall and he still trails Tomac by 32 in the standings. Regardless, Musquin has three Moto wins in the last six Motos and five Top 2s. Tomac also has three Motos wins in the last six and six Top 3s.

Justin Barcia rounded out the podium with a (3-3) day and he was followed by Blake Baggett in fourth (4-4) and Ken Roczen in fifth (5-5). Justin Bogle returned to action for the first time this season and claimed the Moto 1 holeshot but finished 23rd overall. Cooper Webb finished eighth overall in his first action this summer.

In the 250 class, Dylan Ferrandis of France got his first career overall in the United States taking fourth in Moto 1 and the victory in Moto 2. Ferrandis climbed from 10th in both Motos and this was only his third round since returning from an injury in Supercross. Alex Martin took second overall after a (2-4) day and Shane McElrath followed his first career victory the week prior with third overall on a (6-2) day.
