On Any Weekend.

Disaster can strike and what seemed a well-paved road to the Championship can quickly turn pretty rocky as Eli Tomac's quest for back-to-back titles hit a major roadblock during Round 7 of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series on Saturday at the RedBud National in Buchanan, MI.

In Moto 1, while leading with three laps remaining, Tomac's bike called it quits. The DNF gave Ken Roczen his first Moto win since 2016 and instead of adding five points to his 32 point lead over Marvin Musquin Tomac lost 23 as Musquin crossed the checkers in second. In Moto 2, several mistakes and a poor start got the better of Tomac leaving him in ninth for a season worst 15th overall. That, along with Musquin taking the Moto 2 win and overall for the day, drops him into second-place now three points back of Musquin, a 35 point swing.

Roczen finished third in Moto 2 for second overall and Justin Barcia went (4-2) to round out the podium in third his fourth straight podium.

In the 250 class, Aaron Plessinger swept for the third time this season and extended his lead over Alex Martin, who took a distant second overall on a (4-3) day, to 32. Dylan Ferrandis took third on the tie-breaker to Martin with a (3-4) day.

Riders get a weekend off before resuming the series at Spring Creek so until then enjoy the Top 25 photos at RedBud starting with Justin Bogle grabbing his second holeshot of the year (at top):
