Winner's Circle: Anaheim 1 — More Motocross Photos

In a race that ended up being more unpredictable than anyone thought possible, our own rider on the Rockstar Engergy / MotoSport.com team, Davi Millsaps, got the holeshot and forged ahead to a victory in the season opener of AMA Supercross in Anaheim, CA. Following closely behind was Trey Canard and Ryan Dungey. "It was definitely a fun race. Me and Trey were right there the entire time," Davi said in the interview you can listen to above, "Everyone thinks that me going to the team I'm on now, they think it's all a B-Team. But, I think our team is definitely an A-team and is just as good as any team out there, if not better."

Trey Canard, less than a year after breaking his back, was right behind Millsaps the whole race and seemed unshakeable. He even managed a pass and stayed ahead for a bit, but a falter on the last lap relegated him to a still unexpected second place finish. "I'm just at a loss for words. You know, not too long go, it was questionable whether I'd even be here tonight."

In third, Ryan Dungey stayed behind Justin Barcia most of the race. After what everyone thought would be a spot-losing crash, he got back up for a struggle to keep fourth. His break came when Barcia lost it on a double-jump after a corner and rode like hell to finish in third. All in all, the first race of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series was more exciting than any of us could have expected and looks to stay that way through the series. We wish the best of luck to all the riders and hope for more awesome racing through the season! Vital MX takes us to the Winner's Circle at the first round of the 2013 Supercross Series. Hear from Davi Millsaps, Trey Canard and Cole Seely.
