The history of Bel-Ray oils dates back to the 1940s when founder Bill Kiefer developed a special lubricant used by Nabisco in high-temperature bakery ovens. In the 1960s, Bel-Ray expanded into the mining industry and developed the first pumpable lubricant for large walking draglines.
